Christmas often turns out to be online scam season these days. There are scammers watching out for this special occasion and a lot of people are being scammed every year. Their major attack is through cloned or phishing sites. Once you pay for your Christmas shopping you are not going to get your products ever. They usually tempt you through emails or text message with amazing offers. There is also a danger or losing your sensitive information to them which could further squeeze your money out.

So watch out for them during Christmas and be an informed buyer.

Thank you for this information especially at this time that Christmas is approaching. This is probably going to save someone from falling into the hands of those scammers around this season. Even though one may not be preparing to shop online this period is safe to be aware of this.

has information about internet safety and sites to report scams and other internet crimes from .gov.

When in doubt it's good to go to the site by typing in the search engine about deals and never click emails that has deals especially if you don't belong to the site. Don't forget to enjoy the holiday and belong to sites that saves money like ebates.com or DontPayFull.com where you get great discounts or cash back just for shopping. Have a wonderful & safe holiday season!

Yes this week lot of black Friday scams online. And also the cyber Monday scams. So be careful where you are putting your credit card information. It can be seriously damaging. I am guessing that some of the christmas based offers may likely have such scams too. So it's worth thinking about.

I refuse to use shopping sites with no Paypal option as payment. Paypal is the security I needed when it comes to online shopping. I do use my card for subscription on Netflix and Crunchyroll though as those sites are highly trusted institutions online.
