Not as good as they used to be with the shipping and handling charges, not sure if eBay is betterthan Amazon. The shipping and handling charges eats up the deals there.
At least on Ebay if you click the free shipping button to the left when you do your searches for items you may want to purchase, free shipping choices come up. Its a lot better than Amazon. I Even got Amazon Prime to try it out to save on shipping and it was so not worth it. Even the Prime movies & tv show your supposed to be able to watch for free was not good. No good selection, so I am canceling before the free trial is up. Not worth 80 dollars year that's for sure.
Personally, I've found Amazon Prime to be a great deal. Much like on ebay where you can filter for free shipping only, you can also filter on Amazon for "prime" shipping only, if you prefer. Expecting free shipping on everything is unrealistic - places that offer free shipping simply add the cost of shipping into the item's sale price. No matter what, you're paying for shipping.
I haven't tried purchasing yet from Amazon, but I have already purchased from Ebay. I have no problem with the shipping charges of domestic purchases, they are cheap and arrive a day or two later after you bought the item, but I noticed that if you buy something that's marked as "free shipping" from an overseas seller, you have to wait for more than a month for your item to arrive. I purchased a cellphone battery last Sept., and until now I haven't received the item yet. So maybe if the item wasn't marked as "free shipping", then I would have received it sooner because I paid for the shipping.
I think the additional charges on eBay are exaggerated. You don't need to pay to add photos to your gallery and the cost for listing is not significant, sometimes it's free. The 10% rate is not ideal but you can still make good money on eBay.
