I used my Amex Gold Card several times recently and was wondering; there are always two copies of the receipt which are printed out after the card gets swiped or scanned. There is one with a dotted line for my signature and one copy without the line is for my safekeeping. I always wonderd what would happen if I signed the wrong copy and the cashier kept it by mistake? Also, what if you sign in a hurry and your signature does not match the one on your card? Would the supermarket or restaurant have the right to reject the transaction?
