Our favorite airline doesn’t include free baggage in the cost of ticket. That makes the discounted tickets of Cebu Pacific cheaper. Come to think of it, when we travel abroad, we don’t carry much so we do not check in any baggage when going. The only time we have baggage for check in is when coming home but not always. What we do now is to always estimate the baggage we would bring along and for sure, it will not exceed the 7 kilos allowed for carry on bags. In coming home, we pay for baggage allowance of 20 kilos and rarely do we need 40 kilos.

I get problems while estimating baggage allowances while having to change from international to domestic airlines. Domestic airlines allow lot less baggage then international flights.

This becomes especially a problem when you have a lot of luggage.

I think you too are traveling by Air Asia like we have done on so many occasion in last couple of years Yes it does give you an option to book your check in luggage separately and if you do it along with your ticket or before reaching to airport you get a fairly good discounted offer compared to what you get at airport. Besides they allow you 7 kg of free cabin luggage each which is enough for a tourist.
