I've used Terro. Worked like a charm. All the other remedies such as cinnamon and lemon juice didn't really work for me. Perhaps it was because of the species of the ants that I had.
You just need the ant baits to get rid of the entire colony. I use to have them in my house. After awhile I got smart and started placing them in my yard. I would get them before they got close to the house. But if you're looking for a cheaper and natural way to get rid of them, I heard corm meal works. They eat it and they can digest it, so they die.
