We have 2 cars that we bought brand new in the same year. The Ford Escape is required to be brought to the dealer’s shop for the regular maintenace – every 5,000 kilometers or 3 months whichever comes first. If you fail in the that schedule, the warranty will lapse. Our seconed car is a small Mitsubishi Mirage with the required regular maintenance of every 5,000 kilometers. That’s a big difference because it takes more than 6 months to achieve the 5,000 km mileage. This gimmick of Ford is a rip off. If we are going to buy another car, expect it not to be a Ford.
