I was a Diversity Rep. and had to do research on the Jewish and African American's celebration of Christmas, respectively, Hanukkah and Kwanza. Because of this, I include items from each that are included in their celebration with my own. Sometimes I am asked about them and I have been able to share my knowledge of both with family and friends. Would you consider doing something like this?
While my family typically only celebrates Christmas -- I have friends who celebrate alternative religions and lifestyles - So we often spend time with them on their chosen holidays as well. We enjoy the variety and learning about different cultures. I find it very enriching.
