Just a suggestion - but it would be nice to have the default behaviour of the forum be to have notifications for Achievements and Awards to be disabled. It needlessly clutters up my incoming notifications with a bunch of superfluous achievements when I only really care about thread replies and comments. It can be disabled in Settings, however the feature in general seems to be tacked on and not really serve any real purpose asides from poorly "gamifying" the forums.
I think challenges are always there in all areas of endeavour but here in this forum, I believe the overall user experience is positive. Not to assume your concerns are negligible, I believe there is a way of getting used to it as everything eventually works for the good. Sift through the notifications and you will acquire an eye for detail. At the end of the day, everybody is a winner.
