The usefulness of a do-it-yourself section cannot be gainsaid. Making homemade products is more of a science than an art. Such things as soap, paints and recyclables as well as do-it-yourself repairs though requiring some investment in terms of effort and time. I look forward to these things in the forum.
DIY projects highlight the list of things to do here at home for the past 16 years we've lived in the country (province). We have been able to save money for these projects. We scout locally, in our town, for small businesses to help us with some building materials, plumbers and electricians-- for we need licensed people to do those jobs for us. Besides, it helps generate money for the local community of small businesses. We also, frequent a local demolition sales yard to get our materials. Saves money, at the same time, DIY building projects suit our needs and personal designs to satisfaction. Our sons helped build a mobile chicken coop while having fun. Our next project, when enough money is saved, is a new DIY kitchen. Our friend, a tiler, will help design and build it.
