I don't buy computers, mobile phones online. Because I think I believe what i touch and what i see although i know online shopping is reliable now.
I’ve done both. My current laptop was bought in store, but the two before were ordered online. They both have their pros and cons, but I slightly prefer ordering online. There’s a waiting period, but it’s easier to select and customize my options that way, at least in my area. I might feel differently if I lived elsewhere.
I wouldn't have a clue on how to build my own computer. I think because it's such a specialised area, you really need to know what you're doing. For that reason, I much prefer to buy a readily assembled computer, complete with all the components and software I need. We've bought both in store and on eBay. The eBay purchases were both second hand and we lucked out as they were both in good nick When we want a brand new one, we go in store.
I have done both actually. I think that as long as you know what specifications you need you can do it either way and you tend to save money when buying online., I think the specifications are the important thing and as long as you know what they are you can find the opitioos you need with your computer. It is imporrtant to know.
I would much rather buy it in store. That way I can look at it in person, and see how it functions myself. It's kind of like having blind faith when you order online. Also you can talk to employees in store that know about the computer you're interested in. I would leave getting parts to someone else. I don't know enough about computer to be able to fix them up like that.
I heard it would cost you less if you build your own computer but i don't have the slightest clue on how to build computer from scratch so really the it would be smart if i just to go to the store and asked for assistance on which computer is best to buy. lol Good for you people who knows alot about computers.
I still prefer going to the store and getting my hands on the goods before I actually purchase one, but there are just so many better deals that you can find online it is hard to do. You could do both, by getting your hands on it in the store to make sure that you really like it and then look for deals online, but that is pretty time consuming so that might not be the best option for some people. I say whatever gives you the lowest cost is the best way to go.
I usually buy all the parts online and assemble it myself. There is a pleasure in building your own computer, that you can't get by building a preassembled computer. With a custom built computer, you have limitless number of choices with what goes into your computer and you can have a higher rate of upgradeability. Preassembled computers also charge more for the same hardware giving you extra cash to shop for if you are building your computer.
I never buy electronics online because I hate going after online stores when they give me defective electronics. Buying from stores gives me the power to go after them when they give me a defective product, and it's less hassle for me. It's also easier for me because I don't need to wait for the delivery time unlike when I buy online.
Nope, I buy them through physical stores, gadgets also. I think that buying computers should be very much a physical experience. You have to see them for real, see their specs and see whether the design fits you. Because in the internet, there is lighting, positioning and all other stuff, these things don't do justice to the computer itself. You have to be able to touch, feel and see, even hear how the sound system sounds in the computer.
I prefer to purchase computers from local stores. As I am working full-time, I do not have time to assemble my own desktop computer. I would pick out the parts and get a vendor to help me assemble the computer instead. I do have some trusted computer shop which I have used for the past 8 years. They provide excellent after sales service so I do feel assured when asking them to build a computer for me. I do get parts for discounted prices since I am a loyal customer.
I usually buy my computer in store. The last time I bought computer it took quality time trying to decide if I should order online or just go to local computer stores and buy one. What made me to give up ordering online was when I factored in the cost of shipping I found out I'll be paying far more than I budgeted. Finally, I got a trusted and reliable system from a local store.
Thisi s one where I feel like I need to go in and get a feel for what I am looking at or buying. Once that is done, though, then I think I am okay going online, but that may be changing soon with the virtual stuff.
I have purchased one Dell laptop through Amazon. And purchased desktop through the local computer. The reason being desktop computers are bulky and better purchased local. You can see that laptop can be really good to buy online if you can get discounts. That's one reason to consider.
I always bought my computer from small pieces and made it in my home. But the last time I decided to buy it from a local store, and I think this is much easier and I have more benefits from this method. For example, if my PC will break the shop manager will come and pick my PC and repair it and bring it back. I do nothing in such a situation!
So far I bought all my computers in store as I am able to see them,physically instead of just onscreen. This gives me the advantage of being able to try them out and make sure it comes with all the features I am looking for. I personally like shopping in store more than online for mostly everything because I like to try things before purchasing.
I am curious to know what features do you look for in a computer. As much as you can try a computer in store, I doubt you can test certain software on the computers in the store since certain licenses are required. However, it is good to be able to check out the physical aspects of it.
We just bought a new laptop which was delivered the other day. It was offered on a discount by an online store and it is more expensive when bought in the store in the mall. What we did was to contact the dealer and we got the bargain. I never entertained buying computers and electronic gadgets online because my concern is the issues. Especially the computer which can have issues with the operating system or the hard disk itself, it is better in the real store where I can immediately bring my unit for the resolution of the problem.
I think it is easier to but your laptop within the store. You really don't know what kind of condition your laptop will be if you get it from online, it could be in a worse condition. At least buying it person will be less time consuming and there is a chance you might get a good bargain in store.
My knowledge of computer is limited to those things with a mouse and a keyboard. THat is why I prefer buying a laptop because all is in there and I don't need to think about anything else. Buying them, I prefer doing it in a store, where I could ask someone some real-time questions about things that I need to know about what I am buying. Plus I am not that fancy about computers, why should I, I only use them for 2-3 hours the most.
