Any other dropbox users on here? I've been using them for a while now and they are always my go to source for cloud storage. They offer a free plan which is usually enough for most folk.
Sure.. it's basically the only bit of outsourced storage I have... because paranoia. That said their free plan is fairly boss for most individuals.
I'm using Dropbox for the last couple of years with no issues at all, but I recently discovered that Mega offers 50GB free so I am using it more often. I haven't quit dropbox though, I use both.
I love dropbox, in my opinion it is the best online cloud storage available at the moment. I say this because I have been using it for the past year and have never encountered even a single problem while using it. They have clients for almost all operating systems which one might use. And they are pretty reliable in the sense that I have never experienced any sort of downtime.
I use it for my work in progress, as long as they are not confidential. I still don't feel very secure with Dropbox even when I have passwords and all that but it's still a good way to save files that you would need to access in another computer later on. I don't think I would be upgrading. The free version is more or less ok for me.
I only use it occasionally and mostly only when someone else sends me something via Dropbox. For me personally, I do a lot of my storage in Google Drive or not in the cloud at all. The only reason for me to store online is when I'm going to be sharing with other people and most of the people I associate with are already going to be on Google somewhere, so it's quite convenient for me.
Been using them for a while now as backup for my non sensitize/personal files. These days I'm thinking twice before uploading my files for backup on the net because of all the government snooping and what not. It's not that I'm doing something illegal, they simply have no need to look at my personal stuff since it's not their job. The rest, what can I say. Plenty of free space available and no money involved, what's not to like?
I used to use Google Drive but switched to Microsoft OneDrive, previously known as SkyDrive. The Google Drive program had syncing problems occasionally and notifications. Dropbox is nice and friendly but OneDrive has 7GB of free storage space.
I store everything on Dropbox. All my documents, pictures, ... and it's great. I also write computer programs and whenever I made changes that I don't like, I can always revert back to an earlier version.
I store a lot of my stuff on google drive. I saw that you can get 100gb of free storage on the one drive from microsoft for 100 bing reward points. I might have to try that out and see how it goes.
I am not a big fan of cloud storage. It means without an internet connections I can not access my files. I only use the cloud storage for storing light documents which I can easily upload and also download. Personally I prefer to keep my documents on external hard drives which can be stored safely from even hackers.
I love Dropbox, I've had it for a long time, I have over 50GB there (free) and it's almost full. It's a good call to download it and synchronize it with your phone, that is how my storage space went from 2GB to over 50. It's also very safe, I never had any issues with it. And what I love about it is you can synchronize it to any computer or phone, and also share a folder with someone, which is very useful!!
I use Dropbox! They're one of the oldest cloud service providers around, which lends me a sense of security since I don't worry that they might close down one week and I'd lose all my files. So far all the cloud services I've tried have been great for keeping files except 4sync which deletes everything without warning if the account is inactive for more than 30 days. Still bitter about that. Google is still my favorite cloud file space provider due to their huge capacity.
How does the Mega offer work? I could really use the 50GB additional storage. It's been months since I checked my dropbox account but must confess that it is one of the securest way of backing up imporant files.
I love DropBox, I actually use it for my business every day. I am paying for unlimited storage because we use it so much! Plus when you need to store videos and whatnot it is a great way to do it for a cheap price.
I haven't used Dropbox in a while, since I use Google Drive for whatever files I need to put on the cloud. Since I have a terabyte of HDD storage though, I don't really need to use Dropbox. When I decide to start learning programming again, I'll probably end up using it again.
I actually intend to use it to store my songs, movies, pics, game installers, etc. so that I can save space in my flash drives and hard drive. I just haven't gotten around to uploading them there.
