I've been noticing the stands for flat screen tvs seem realkybflimsybconsideringnthe value and weight of what they are holding up. Anyone else feel they are cheaping out a little on this? What do you do to deal with this potential problem with your own TV.

I wouldn't trust a stand that's standalone rather than hanging on the wall. The ones that bolt into the wall are extremely sturdy, even for a hundred pound TV in some cases. On the other hand, standalone options that are bolted to nothing are far less reliable, and I wouldn't use them myself.

I prefer to bolt the screens onto the wall rather than using the stand. I believe that the stand is not really that great and can get damaged at any point. I usually prefer to not experiment with such expensive TV screens.
