Smart technologies designed for the home are becoming more and more popular. Home automation and smart homes are becoming a thing of today rather than a thing of the future. There are smart thermostats, security systems, lights, and so much more that can be controlled on an automatic schedule or through an app. If you've implemented these things into your home, what has the experience been like?
The most 'smart home' thing I can do is check my alarm status from my phone Integrating and controlling many aspects of my home on the smartphone sounds like fun but there's also some good money involved. I tend to buy cheaper stuff for my home, things that aren't so smart - they're still mostly mechanical. In the future when a smart home will become a standard I'll gladly embrace the tech but for now, I keep to the things I know and can afford.
