How about earphones? Did you forget about these, OP? In my opinion, earphones are the best, because it's small like earbuds, but has better sound quality similar to headphones. I dislike earbuds, because it resonates poorly in quality and hurts my ear lining after a hour or more of use. Headphones, I only use with my desktop CPU for recording music, editing music, listening to audio files, watching and listening to music, etc., but I do not like to wear it beyond my house, because it does messes with my hair. Most definitely headphones have better sound quality, which is why I use them to produce my music. I shouldn't though, but the production feels more intimate that way. I could never use earbuds to produce. I wouldn't be able to hear the sound frequencies properly, bbecause they would be too loud and too close to my ear drum.
