Every day when you switch your various computers on and get onto the internet, you instantly get bombarded with words and pictures. I often need to take a break from all that information and turn everything off. I have a part time internet based job that I really like, but after several hours in front of the screen, I feel too tired for much social networking or other recreational internet activities. How about you? Do you need the internet every day?

I don't exactly know how long I can last without internet since I've never bothered to time myself. I remember the longest time I had without internet was three days straight. I had to return to my hometown to attend my cousin's wedding. My aunt's house doesn't have an internet connection so all we did was watch television and chat. I think that I don't need the internet whenever I have other things to do.

I need the Internet and have to use it everyday. I do a lot of working from home and my computer helps me make extra money. As far as social media, I could do without that because I'm not social on that level so I don't need the Internet for that. It does get tiring after a while and it's good to take a break and kick back with my boyfriend and kids and play some games.

Haha good question! I don't remember the last day that I went without internet for a solid day. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing but it is crazy how reliant we are all becoming on being socially connected at all times. Next time I go on vacation, I vow to not even use an internet app on my phone, let alone a computer!

I can't live without the internet! Okay I guess I'm overexaggerating, but I practically spend most of my say on the internet.

The internet is the best way I can communicate with people. Not even my cellphone. The internet is very important to me because I can discover new things everyday when I'm on the internet and I can express myself greatly on the blogs I use.

I know people that pretty much make their living on the internet, so I know I'm not alone in my stand.

Most time without any access was perhaps a few days and I don't think I can stay disconnected much longer than that, I was abroad without easy access to the internet for those days though I did manage to pick up important emails.

Too many things I do is reliant (work related as already mentioned by angelicagapit) on the internet but I like to chill out for a few hours at a time by reading a good book (which is usually downloaded from the internet itself)

I don't *need* it everyday but I do use it on a daily basis, sometimes a lot and sometimes not that much.
I could stay away as long as I wanted to, but for the moment I choose not to because quite frankly, the internet helps me with a lot of things!

I could stay away from the internet for a week, or longer, if I wanted to. Sometimes, I actually do it. Most of the time, I just resist that urge to close my laptop and stay away from it for a while. I can't deny that the internet helps SO much in making life easier, so I just suck it in and burn my eyes on the monitor a little longer. I do take breaks throughout the day, but nothing beats the relaxing feeling of being away from the computer for a long time. But whenever I have the chance to separate from the computer/internet, I gratefully do so with some delicious food and a nice... tv series marathon.

I have to use the internet everyday. I go to college and all homework and class work is done over the internet. I also have to check my school email everyday in case professors send messages. Other things I use the internet for are things like Netflix and Facebook. I don't really need to get on facebook. I'm not addicted to it o I can live awhile off of it. But I am addicted to Netflix. It would suck without.

I don't like the be exposed to too much information and news but it still feels nice to be connected. I could stay away from the internet for the day as long as I have something else to do but I would like to be able to use it at night when I'm not doing anything. When your internet goes down it's a terrible, scary feeling. I've become very dependent on it.

I go for extended periods of time (8-10 days) without access to the internet or even the phone. I do not miss it at all. I could go longer if I had email access once a week just to make sure nothing critical was going on. I still need to pay bills and do my banking and the internet is a good way of doing that. I tend to use the internet because it is sitting in front of me and is available rather than because I feel I need to.

My job requires me to be online for long periods of time. I do try to take a whole day a whole day away from the computer to give myself a break and give my eyes a rest from the screen. It can be additive the need to be on the internet all of the time. I do not spend much time on social media.

Considering my primary work is web development, I cannot stay away from the internet for too long. Wait, this question seems familiar.
