I would probably still have my 2nd generation iPod 2 if it had worked for my purposes. I've had a few Gen2s, and also a few Gen4s. I didn't really use them for music or movies. My iPods were all touches, and I mainly used them for social media, email and managing my shops. As mentioned above, eventually, the newer apps won't work on them, and since the devices tend to be more expensive than android products, and they stop being useful once the newer apps are no longer designed to work with the older devices, I switched to Samsung. I'd love to still have an iPod, because I always liked the style and how they worked, but I just don't have the money to be constantly upgrading my device.
