    Which one is your favorite?

Do you maintain exclusivity to one company every time you buy a new piece for your computer?
Why do you like their products?

Personally i am an Intel fan, but AMD has a pretty good range of products too.

I've always used Intel, mainly because I know when a product will be decent since they have fairly straightforward names. Also, Intel generally seems to be the most common found in pre-built PC's which is probably why I've used them so much. A few of my friends have had AMD but have had issues when we were playing games online which made me try and avoid AMD, I don't really know enough about them to knock them but I just choose Intel instinctively.

Before I only used Intel. I had a bias against AMD. However lately I have been looking at the specs of AMD chips as compared to their prices and they are looking more and more attractive. Maybe the next computer I build will have an AMD chip in it. Just wondering. What's the AMD equivalent of the Intel i7 chip?

I have used both Intel and AMD, and both brands perform quite well. Right now I'm using an Intel Dual Core processor. I noticed that AMD is cheaper than Intel, so if I were to purchase another processor in the future, then I will just go with what my budget can afford at that time.

I'm strictly an Intel fan. I almost bought an AMD machine, but the salesperson talked me out of it. In a side by side comparison, the Intel machine was just faster.

In my opinion, Intel is a lot better and faster than AMD processors. I own an AMD machine, and I absolutely don't like it at all.

I am into gaming so I am into faster GPU's so I'd go for AMD.

But I do have an Intel laptop (i5) and found that applications tend to start faster with the new iSeries by Intel. I did a series of test and research and iSeries is practically manufactured for faster application startups.

But if its still gaming you want, AMD is the best! If office or personal use go for Intel!

I honestly cannot tell the difference. At work i use an AMD machine for some pretty intense video editing. At home i use an intel for the same video editing when i have some spill over editing to do from work. They both perform pretty well. Im more inclined to go with intel because they are pretty good and i know a lot more about them compared to AMD.

AMD is ther best. I know a lot of people are more familiar with Intel, but i am sure you would completely change your ways once you try out the AMD chips. I am saying this from experience. I use to use PC with an intel processor and found it to be slow then switched to MAC. After a while my let me use his PC with AMD and i found the experience delightful. I needed to get a PC and so bought one using AMD processors and have since never ever gone back. I even sold my mac computer.
