There is this company called Organix which has a novel irrigation solution. The product is called Absorber. It works by absorbing large amounts of water about 100 times its size. The product is actually a powder. It expands into a gel like mass which releases water to plants over long periods of time acting as a form of drip irrigation. This saves alot on water bills and the product is not expensive.
