I still have yet to take an all-inclusive vacation. I have glanced at them before, but usually opt for very affordable closer to home vacations, myself. Have you had a lot of luck with all-inclusive deals? Do you really end up saving a lot?
Regardless of being the best deal, it's a good experience you should try. As for prices, it's a matter of doing the maths, but don't forget, somethings do not have a price and the convenience of not carrying money is really good, even if it's just once in our lifetime.
I'm not sure if it' the best deal per say, because you pay way more to be able to eat and drink all you want. I'd say if it's somebody that spends an outrageous amount of money at restaurants and drinks it's definitely worth it, but for a regular person they might save more money by paying per meal and drink. That being said, all inclusive is so convenient! On the cruise I did with my family we went to an all inclusive one, and we had a blast! Me and my dad would spend hours together at the bar tasting different drinks, and the food was great. Not to mention my brother, who eats a LOT, went to dinner with us and a couple of hours later went to the pasta restaurant and ate some more. I say if the price is decent and you don't want to worry thinking where you'll eat and how much you'll spend, it's a good option!
