A lot of companies have different speeds of high-speed Internet for you to purchase at different price points. Would you be willing to go with "lite DSL" if it saved you a lot of money? I don't because I work from home and am online all day, plus we use Netflix instead of cable. Also, BF plays on XBox Live. I probably would have went with lite DSL when I was single though because I really don't watch a lot of movies or online videos or anything, but I would only do it if the savings were significant.
Lite dsl is good if you do some basic downloading and regular surfing, but if you want to watch movies or play games you really have to invest in a good internet connection...ESPECIALLY for xbox live.
That's what I think too. I wouldn't make the switch now, but I probably would have back in the day when I was mostly just surfing the Web and maybe downloading the occasional song.
