I remember staying in a motel 6 about 20 years ago and it just being a typical motel dive and when I go on a road trip I usually will stay in a nicer hotel even if it's just for one night because I don't want to be in some dinky place. But on a recent trip I needed to save some money and figured it was ridiculous spending a $100 dollars for less than 12 hours and decided to stay in a motel 6. I was shocked at how nice it was. Completely remodeled and beautiful. The place was pet friendly too and you couldn't hear or smell any of them. The room was under 60 dollars a night and was well worth the money. Wondering if the renovations were for just the area I was in (virginia) or all of the motel 6's have redone their rooms. My only complaint was the phone in the room didn't work. Luckily I had my cell phone. Anyone else stay in a Motel 6 and what was your experience?
