In the recent years of our travel, I have been availing of the online booking thru booking.com because it is very convenient for me. There are 2 choices - the cheaper no refund and the more expensive refundable with free cancel. This free cancel is 15% more expensive but it is like an insurance that when something goes wrong, the money is refunded. Last year, I started getting that free cancel to give me peace of mind because the non-refundable is big money that is a gamble.. and would lose it when our trip is cancelled. What do you think is the best, the cheaper non-refundable or the more expensive free cancel?
