[Expired] PayPal giving out free $15 coupons to spend on eBay

    You see this is the thing. People always say "It sounds too good to be true" and then they are the ones who LOSE and MISS the opportunity. Sometimes you gotta control your fears or doubts and go with it. You never know what you are going to miss.

    I did go through the steps with setting up a new PayPal, but I wasn't one of the lucky ones. Maybe another time. Thank you so much for letting me know though :)

    That sucks :( Maybe they're doing this depending on users' locations. I know a lot people in my country who set up like 30 accounts and got 30 different coupons... lucky brats.

    I've so far used 5 coupons to get me some things I wanted. Thanks PayPal! :p

    Argentina. And yup, I actually got another coupon just today. I think they will keep sending out these until April 15th. I know some people have used up to 30 coupons (I know...) and are still getting more. Some got their accounts disabled because of that. But hey, it's $15 for free, worth the risk.

    Wow, this is really a good offer!
    I have not got such a notice from Paypal.
    But guess I will consider to have one account set up soon, so to enjoy Ebay shopping discount later!
    And would pay continous attention to everyone's sharing of such great news:)

    I think they're giving these out randomly, but I'm not sure if you have to be in a certain country or region to get them (perhaps you do). Set up a new PayPal account, wait 3-4 days and see if you get an e-mail with this coupon.

    Aren't you lucky ;). I am happy that you keep getting these coupons. It may be based on your location, but it was worth a try! With or without the coupon, I still trust them and will continue to use them and shop on Ebay.

    Uhm... I already replied to those questions. Yes, I've so far received and used 6 coupons, and I'm from Argentina.

    Do you use the same details for each Paypal account that you create? Because if Paypal notices that the details are the same in all of your accounts then they might disable all of them, including the one that you legitimately use. Anyway, I still haven't received a free coupon yet, and I won't bother to create another account, because the reward is quite random, so my "success" is not assured, lol.

    I use the same details with a couple different things (like changing my address to something very similar or using abbreviations) so they may or may not notice. I don't keep any money on my regular account, though, so them disabling it wouldn't be a problem.

    Are you going to use a proxy for that or just select Argentina as your location? Either way, good luck.

    You don't need to link your credit card to the new account unless you're planning to buy something that costs more than $15, and therefore need more money to pay for it.

    @ addicted_buyer, what error or reason did Paypal tell you when they limited your other accounts? Just wondering, because mine was limited before when I used another IP to buy stuff.

    You do need to verify the account through e-mail (when you receive a confirmation e-mail), but there's no need to link it to your eBay account. When you log in to eBay to pay for the item you want to buy, just log in to your new PayPal account to pay for it.

    They said they needed more info (like a photocopy of my ID) to know my name, address, etc. were real.

    What reason did they give you? Did they let you appeal the limitation?
