Has anyone tried the Perfect Brownie Pan yet? Is it worth it to purchase, or should I just stay away from it? The ad for it looks promising but I've had too many bad experiences with As Seen on TV products in the past to be optimistic.

No one I knows has this product so I can't ask them, and I've read reviews online but I wanted to get some answers on here. If you don't recommend this product is there another one similar that you would?

Does it break easy? Does it work? Does the divider actually fit down in the pan? Give me as much info as you can, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I bought the Perfect Brownie pan when it first come out. I find it to be a great little pan for those that want proportion their desserts. The divider does fit in the pan well but I don't like how everything you bake in the pan sticks to the divider. I even spray my divider before placing in pan yet everything sticks! If whatever your baking in the pan doesn't stick, it comes out very easily because of the divider.

I personally wouldn't buy another one because you can bake brownies in any pan and cut them up with a knife after they're done. This pan is really of nothing expactacular.

I have had problems with things sticking to the divider. I do like how it cuts things into proportions for you. I really am horrible at cutting things so that they are even. For that reason I like it. I guess most people could do the same thing with a knife though.

I was hoping that the brownies wouldn't stick to the divider. That's what I was afraid of, especially since I was looking to purchase it as a gift for my sister who bakes a lot. I guess I'll just have to look for something else baking related.

    Thanks for the input!

If things stick that kinda defeats the purpose. I wish they could come out with a nonstick version or something like that. I was hoping to get it for my sister. She's a teacher and is always baking things for her classes. Though it looks like this product might be more of a hassle than a time-saver at this point.

    Thanks for answering me!

And as for sticking, just make sure you spray the inside panels, too. So here's what mine looked like after trying it the first time. Very limited sticking!

Thanks, Jessi! That is minimal stickage. I'm not sure if they are "as seen on TV," but my sister-in-law used silicon cupcake holders to make some amazing soufflés. I expected the perfect brownie maker to be made of the same stuff. But, I can spray the divider. It is worth it to cut down on arguments about whose brownie is bigger.

Thanks! I might have to change my mind and buy one. I was thinking of buying one for myself and my sister, and if they turn out like that I'll be really happy. Do you always spray it? If the brownies will come out that easy I might be sold on that product then. If not, I can always return it.

Yep, I always just spray it. That's what I would do with a normal pan for brownies, too. Otherwise, I might use butter, but I wouldn't bother doing that with all these grids. Just spraying works fine and I haven't had any real issues.

I bought the Perfect Brownie Pan. I really like it. It makes the brownies come out pretty good. I spray the pan because the brownies do stick to the pan. When I first bought it, the brownies stuck to the pan. I didn't think you needed to spray the pan, you do.

Great reviews of this product. I have to admit that I never purchased it but I was curious about it. I use to make something called toffee bars, the reason I got away from making them was because they were hard to cut into bars. Anyway, such a pan would probably eliminate this problem, not that I could ever afford to actually buy it.

I remember that a consumer specialist in my area reviewed this pan on the news. Apparently the pan passed all her test, but she was still against purchasing it, because of its price. My feeling that the time was that this wasn't a good review. I felt what she should of said was that the pan did pass all test so it lived up to its hype, but was it worth the investment for the casual baker. This pan would be worth the investment for someone who loves to bake or even bakes for a living but no she was against the pan period, which I didn't think was a good review of the product that more or less pass the test.

I had one a couple of months ago and wound up donating it because I actually find just making brownies in a normal pan and cutting them with a knife to be easier. Some convenience products aren't that convenient.
