What excursions are worth doing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic? We are going there in February 2013 and looking for some good excursions. Would you just purchase them from the hotel or find a local person to purchase from? Is it safe to go off the resort looking for excursions?
It's one of the most enjoyable things to do in Punta Cana. We tried it and had lots of fun. The company will pick you up at your hotel lobby and drop you off after the tour is done. It does envolve some hiking as you get to the first platform, so wear some comfortable shoes. The tour is about 4 hours long. The zipline tour company we used isLog In. They're one of the safest in the caribbean and have a real professional staff.
