If you have a car, you will be well aware of the fact that it will probably be one of the most expensive things that you will ever own. If it needs to be repaired, what do you do? Do you always make sure that you take it to the original supplier so that you get genuine parts, or will you take it somewhere a little cheaper than may use more generic, unbranded parts?

Personally, if a car that I had was under warranty, I would always take it to the dealer - because using any other parts on it can void the warranty on the vehicle.

However, if it was NOT under warranty, I would be much more likely to take it somewhere else that was cheaper.

I would always make sure that they had good reviews, though, because I would not want to compromise my own safety in any way, which is something that people risk when they get the work done very cheaply.
