Does it actually work as good as an iron and still faster and easier to use? Does anyone own one or know someone who owns one?
Are there similar products that are better?

My roommate in college had one. It wasn't the same brand but it worked pretty well and was a lot faster and more convenient than an iron and ironing board. He would have to do it a bit in advance though because it did leave wet spots on the shirt from the steam but other than that it really worked on wrinkles.

They sold something very similar to this in the early 90's. It was a "steam iron", which was basically a cheap plastic iron that blew out steam. It really didn't get the wrinkles out like it did in the commercials, and it often got your clothes soaking wet in the process. The device itself would also get clogged up a lot with mineral deposits. Most irons on the market these days can already shoot out high powered bursts of steam.
