I homeschool my children and I wanted my son to learn to speak Spanish. Does anyone know a good age or level to start teaching children Spanish. Note: my son is six years old and he's at a first grade level.

A friend of mine grew up in a home where his parents spoke two languages. He learned them both from a young age, and now as an adult can speak four different languages. I've heard mixed opinions on this as many people think that it just confuses the child. But because of what I've learned from this friend of mine, I don't believe this. He was never confused and is actually a genius in my opinion. I don't think it's ever too early to start teaching them a different language.

I've always heard that you should start as early as possible, not only does the child learn both languages, they have an easier time later on learning new ones because they were taught to "switch up" from an early age.
