We've all wondered and have imagined having super powers at some point in our lives> This aught to be a fun and thought-provoking thread. If you had to pick a set of powers, would you rather have the ability to teleport at will with invisibility or be able to fly and read peoples minds? I would want the teleport power because that would give you the ability to be two places at one time. and not being saw, that would rock. Flying would draw to much attention, while reading minds would make me go crazy.
I'd probably choose the flight and reading minds but I always wanted to rob a bank so I guess I'll have to go with the invisibility and the teleportation one.
Out of the three I would pick flying because I wouldn't really care to teleport and reading minds would get super tiresome. You would learn all kinds of stuff that you wouldn't want to know. Not to mention I get my feelings hurt super easily so I would constantly be crying lol.
I would want to be able to teleport, be invisible and have superhuman computer hacking abilities. I would use the superhuman hacking abilities to erase my student loan debt and erase my friends' student loan debt. I would also destroy the websites of various racist hate groups. I wouldn't rob a bank because that would affect innocent people, I would rob a loan shark or one of those payday loan places that profits from people's misery. If I saw crimes in progress ,I would stop them. It's easy to scare away a rapist when they can't see you.
I would choose the ability to be able to read minds. I don't see any point why I should need the ability to fly. I don't travel much anyway. The same reason why I wouldn't choose teleportation. However, if you can read people's minds, there's a lot of things that you can do. You can get anything you want if you learn how to use the information you read from other people's minds. You can prepare for the future. You can determine what the people around you want or need. In short, you can control the people around you.
I'd say fly. I would have better stories to tell and it is probably the most enjoyable out of all the others. Reading peoples minds is a bit crazy and it kind of seems like a wrong thing to do. I do not want to know things that I should not. Teleporting sounds dangerous! What If I'm off and I teleport a a few feet away from the Empire state observation area? It sounds bad.
I really like the idea of teleporting and being invisible. There are so many places and things that I want to see. Teleporting would make that possible. I also like ACSAPA idea of advanced computer hacking skills. I could do some serious damage (or good) with those skills. If I was going the crime fighting route, I would attack the bankers and one percenters who bankrupted the country (US) a few years ago. They used and then broke the system, but got away scott-free. I would also go after the politicians in the US who are holding our government hostage by acting like big babies.
I would want to be invisible and teleport. It would be so nice to do certain things and get away with it. I can repeatedly punch or hurt someone and they won't know who is doing that to them. I also would want to read minds, but I think I'd rather pay a psychic to learn what others are thinking, since I don't want to know the thoughts of everyone.
