When I lived in California, the main library would have a book giveaway annually. It was so exciting to get there early and go through all the books. They had them in boxes in their category. A lot of parents would get kids books for school. They also had books on CDs, videos, and DVDs. Does your local library offer this event? They had gently used books and some looked brand new!
