Booking a hotel room can be very expensive. I guess this is why transient homes are more appealing to young travelers especially backpackers. I tried a transient home once. It was very convenient. We just checked-in, slept for the night, and moved on. We didn't worry anymore about extra charges or keeping our belongings safe.
