Do you take advantage of travel deals? Sometimes Group On has some great travel deal, as does Travel Zoo, Fare Compare and those sort of options. Although I love to travel, I haven't done much of it in the past year due to circumstances. I may take a casino trip though next weekend...special deal of course..I deserve it!
Yeah i take advantage of travel deals and mostly i used to book my tours at weekend. I also love to travel and i mostly make two three tours in a month. Its really a passion for me and i used to go through it. Right now i am planning to have a tour of indonessia and looking for some of the good deals.
We had a sad experience with a travel deal offered by C&E Travels in Metro Manila. Our vacation in Batanes was spoiled because the package was supposed to be complete - airline tickets, accommodation, land tours, breakfast. When we arrived in the airport, we were wondering why there was no one to fetch us. Fortunately, one van offered to bring us to the accommodation which is a hostel. And then... we were not booked and unfortunately the hostel was full. It was a good thing that the reception helped us find another hotel. So now I don't relish getting travel deals anymore.
I love to get travel deals on Southwest's website. I once spend $59 to fly to Oakland and it would have cost me the same to take a Megabus that would have got me there in 8 hours. The flight was only 45 minutes. I saved time and money and got to spend another day in the city.
Oh that is awesome! It is nice when things like that work out in your favor. Southwest has often had affordable flights to my home area too, however, it costs more to fly into the local airport. In order to get the best bang for the buck flying into a major airport nearby is the best thing. It takes an hour or two typically by car from there, but it is still pretty cheap.
If you are smart and you do your research beforehand, the savings that you can find on travel is one of the biggest out there. I would say that it is the major industry in which consumers have really benefited from technology and the savings craze that came with the internet. It is way cheaper to travel these days than it was a couple of years ago, and it seems to be trending in a good direction too.
Yeah, the internet has made finding travel deals much easier. Finding all the sites you can compare and contrast deals on is a really good thing to do. There are also ways you can save by using Group On and other sites that have special deals for groups. I like shopping travel deals..I have seen some outstanding ones.
To find the right kind of travel deals, those that save you money and let you purchase at the fraction of the cost you normally incur, you have to be on the lookout all the time. Meaning, you regularly visit airline websites and take advantage of offered promos. Do not buy a ticket when it's not promo season. You'll realize you're just wasting money. Also, travelling in a group is more cost-efficient. If you want to travel solo-flight then be a backpacker. Go for hostels with free breakfast instead of posh hotels. This one of the best ways to help you save when you're travelling alone.
To ensure you don't miss out on airfare deals you need you could visit many of the sites that you visit to find air travel deals opt in for emails and they'll send you alerts anytime there's a good deal. I know there are some people who plan their trips depending on which destination is cheapest to get to, so getting these alerts might help them save some money.
I hope to find some deals to take advantage of this summer so that I can visit some jazz festivals across the country. That is my plan for the summer to stay flexible to take advantage of any deals that will allow me to pick up and go when I find a good deal.
