I am usually pretty good at finding cheap tickets, but when I am booking only a week or two before the flight I can't find any deals. I know that tickets get more expensive the closer they are to take off but I feel like there must be some way to get around this and still get a good deal. What is your advice for last minute bookings?
I don't think there's any way around that. The best way to go about things is to play your trip well in advance. If you wait until the last minute you're going to be paying more. I don't think there's really any way around that fact. Airlines jack the prices up the closer you get to your departure date. It's always been that way.
