I want an iPhone. A friend of mine is getting one in April and it would be fun to use the same apps, etc. I already have an iPad and have basically fallen in love with all the various apps that are available on it, the thing is so addictive. Currently I use an older Samsung phone. I like Android but just want something new and the iPhone's camera quality is especially pushing me toward it. What about everyone else? What new gadget are you looking toward getting or would love to get?
I'll be getting myself an external harddrive in the next few weeks. It's mainly for making backups of the important stuff.
Awesome, I have one of those. I'm always paranoid about the reliability but it's just so convenient to have all the extra storage. Especially on a smaller drive that doesn't need to be plugged into an outlet. The one I have does though and I'm still quite impressed with it, a Western Digital External HDD. Hope you enjoy your new one.
I want a NAS. I have tons of movies and series. Now I just need a NAS capable of running Plex and my media center is complete.
Currently my wishlist has Samsung S5 at the top of the list. I can wait for it to start selling officially. It was announced that the selling of S5 will start in April. Although am not sure about its pricing, I hope it will be affordable so that I can get it.
Just looked up the S5 and WOW, Samsung has come a long way with their phones since the last time I've tried them. It really looks to compete well and surpass the iPhone. Apparently comes with $500 of apps too? If they're useful, that is a crazy good deal. Now I'm conflicted on what phone to get again, lol.
The #1 gadget on my wishlist currently has to be the Nexus 5. It is a smartphone which has been made by Google in partnership with LG. It has almost all the latest bells and whistles which a top of the line smartphone can need and is priced on the lower side in comparison to its competitors. I have been saving up for it for a while now because my current phone has started becoming obsolete.
Well, it isn't exactly a new gadget, but I have an ebook on the top of my buy list as I have never actually owned one. It surprises me and a lot of my friends because I am one of the first among my friends to get my hands on new technology products when they are released.
I would LOVE to get the Galaxy S5, but I doubt I will be able to afford it as I'm currently unemployed trying to go through college. I might be able to pick up a Galaxy S3 when the price drops though, definitely way better than what I currently have. I'd recommend getting an Android device over an Apple one, but I despise Apple's business practives so I may be biased. In a dream world I would buy Google Glass, I got invited to their explorer program and I could buy one (if I had $1500...).
On my list is trying to get me a new super computer that is able to do a lot more things and give me so many more options and pretty much never ever freeze on me. The technology for great computers is now affordable and so i feeel that it is time to make that change and move on to something greater.
The newest technology on my wish list is the PlayStation 4. I am a huge fan of Sony, an gaming in general. I own the PlayStation 1,2,3. So obviously i want to buy Sony's 4th generation system. I just have not had the money, but i will get it soon.
Thanks so much for the replies everyone! That's really cool, what eBook is it? Be sure to check out the websites of your local library (or libraries) as they often have free eBooks to borrow for a week or two and return. Really neat services available these days. The feel of a new computer with freshly processed parts is really nice, everything is so fast and works just as it should. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I want a new monitor for my computer. This one is kinda old and it is 19'' I want a 22'' Full HD LED monitor (I've found a perfect one from Samsung).
I'm not really that much interested in gadgets to look forward to any of them, to be honest, but I do have some of them that I want to get. The first would be to get a hard drive because I've filled up my previous one. Next, I'd love to get a new TV and possibly also an HTPC so I could watch my shows and movies a lot more comfortably. However, like I said, I'm not really that much in need to get these at once. I'm happy to just get them whenever it's more comfortable for me to do so, financially.
Not really a gadget but I want an SSD some day. A 240 GB SSD is like $150. Maybe the prices will be low enough in a year or two. I would definitely want more than 240 GB though. I also wanted a Nintendo 3DS and A Wii U to play certain games but I don't think I'll ever be getting them.
You do better to use your TV. If you have an HDTV. Just hook the computer up next to your TV. You would need a wireless mouse, and keyboard, but that is cheaper than buying a new monitor. All you have to do is change the TV input display when you want to use your computer, and vice versa.
The new iPhone is still a must get on my list. The new iPhone looks really great, and I heard it runs just as good. The only thing about the iPhone is the price. It is a little costly but to me I think it is worth it. I already have a iPhone which is one of the reasons I haven't upgraded yet. Once I get tired of this iPhone I will more than likely upgrade though.
Check up on Amazon, Samsung seems to be one of the best brands and once in a great great while (more likely around the holidays) a 240 GB SSD will go for around $80. I haven't tried an SSD yet (settled for a 7200 RPM harddrive) but I too really want one and I'm excited to see how it might change and improve my workflow- faster running applications, etc. I want a 3DS as well, lots of really nice games coming out for it recently. Hopefully the prices lower.
I actually want the new Nexus 7. It's a tablet that came out (or is about to come out?) very recently and surprising to say that people state this gadget is the best tablet in the markets as of today. I never had a Nexus gadget, but I've always wanted one. They say it's 10 times better than an iPhone or Samsung phone, however, they say it's complex. iPhones are easy to use, but people who use Nexus phones admit that it's quite hard to navigate. Fortunately, it just takes time to finally get used to the phone, and once you do get used to it, it will be a gadget that you could use for practically anything. I'm not sure about the price of this gadget, but whatever it is, I bet it's definitely worth the price.
I have a Nexus 7. There is a 16 GB and a 32 GB. The 16 GB is $230 and the 32 GB is $270. I've never owned another tablet so I can't compare it but it works great and I've had no problems with it. If you've used an iPhone using a Nexus 7 should be very easy. I would definitely recommend it.
