I don't know the most I've ever spent in my life because I've bought quite a lot of books in my life. But because they're so expensive, I normally buy ebooks nowadays because you'll save a lot and you'll get to read a lot more. Ebooks are generally cheaper because your just downloading the copy instead of buying print. I normally spend like $5 on ebooks but if I were to buy a real book, the most I'd spend is probably $10-$15. Most books nowadays should cost around that much, anymore would just be unreasonable in my opinion.
