I use wheat pasta for cooking because not only it has a higher amount of fiber, it also has less carbohydrates. My diet should be low in carbohydrates as I have to stay lean and also I notice that when I am eating foods that are high in carbohydrates, I tend to feel sleepy which makes me feel lethargic and leaves me unproductive.
I use wheat pasta if I am making spaghetti and meatballs, for any other recipe that requires pasta I do not use the whole wheat. I tried to like it, but I just can't get into it. I noticed a new "white fiber" pasta and have bought that and like it.
